Accommodation options

Kings London students can choose from the following accommodation options:

Go to our London accommodation page for pictures and details.

Transport

One of the great things about studying at Kings London is that everything is so close to the College. Your host family, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, the cinema, sports centre and library are all within walking distance.

When you want to venture further into Central London, it's very easy. The Transport for London website has the most information about all your transport options.

You can buy a one-day travel card if you don't use public transport very often. For more frequent use, an Oyster Card is the cheapest way to get around.

Trains

Clockhouse train station
Located only 3 minutes away from the college, with trains to Central London taking up to 26 minutes.

Beckenham Junction train station
Located 10 minutes from college. Trains to Central London take 17 minutes. You can plan a train journey at the National Rail website.

Underground
The London Underground (known as the Tube) is very easy to use and covers the whole of the city.

View or download tube maps and other London transport maps.

Buses
There are several bus routes in Beckenham, with a bus stop right outside the college. Routes and timetables are available from Student Services.

Trams
TramLink is a fast and convenient tram service across South London — from Beckenham Junction to Wimbledon, stopping at East Croydon train station.

Taxis
You should always use a licensed taxi. There are thousands of licensed taxis in London, easily recognisable as the famous black cab.

Student Services can give you the numbers of reliable licensed taxis in Beckenham.

Medical care

When you arrive at Kings London, you should register with a local doctor, especially if you are studying for a long time. We can help you do this.

There is a doctor's surgery right next door to the College.

If you feel ill at any time during your stay at Kings London, you should first tell a member of staff or your host family. We will be able to help you to see your doctor if needed.

Above all, you should make sure you have full Kings medical insurance during your time in the UK.
