An informative university fair at Kings Bournemouth
18 October, 2017
On 11 October 2017, Kings Bournemouth held its university fair for students, at the St. Peter's Quarter campus.
More than 20 universities from all over the UK attended to speak to students about their offered courses. Amongst the universities were Bath, Surrey, Bournemouth, Winchester, Westminster, Bristol, Coventry, Reading, Aberdeen, Oxford Brookes and many more.
Students who currently attend Kings on a university preparation course as well as those learning English equally participated to gain an insight into undergraduate and postgraduate courses and their subjects, modules, admission processes and employability after graduation. Students of all age groups were welcomed to ask their questions and make contact with universities.
Feedback from students was great and the opportunity to talk to so many representatives and gain such an insight was highly appreciated. Andy Plain, Director of Studies for Academic Programmes, was also very pleased with the outcome and commented:
"The University Fair is a great event for our students to get in touch with so many of UK's leading universities. The representatives can give students information about courses and open days, or already some tips for their applications to their universities later on in their study life. It is great for Kings Bournemouth to have all these representatives from all over the UK in one place for a day, an ideal opportunity for our students to ask their questions!"
Nilay Eyre, Kings Bournemouth's UCAS Co-ordinator added:
"It is of such value to our students to meet representatives from universities they will be applying to. I give support during our UCAS sessions at Kings, but to speak to the universities and arrange for open day visits really helps students in their decision process on which courses and which universities they want to apply for."
We are already looking forward to the next university fair!
