A-levels at Kings are available in two different study plans:

  • Standard two-year programme
  • One-year programmes for transfer from Year 12 or for students who want to retake 1 or more subjects.

Our core A-Level curriculum is based around the main facilitating subjects, these being the most popular and providing greatest flexibility for university progression.

Where appropriate we are able to offer additional subjects if needed. Our aim is to keep your options as open as possible, whilst also ensuring you have covered any pre-requisites for your chosen degree.

Learning is more structured in classrooms and the student:faculty ratio is such that each student benefits from close tutoring and assessment across the two years.

You can enter the second year (A2) of a two-year A-level programme if you have completed Year 12 (Year 1 of A-levels) elsewhere.

Or, students who are unhappy about the A-level grades they got and want to resit one or more subjects, can retake Year 13 with us, over three terms. The requirements are the same as for students who are transferring from Year 12.

By transferring to Kings, you benefit from more intensive and tailored support. This offers greater scope to perform better and achieve more.
