Located on the campus of Concordia College in affluent Bronxville. Trains go direct to the world-famous Grand Central Station in just over 30 minutes.

This course is perfect if your child wants to:

English lessons

15 hours of English lessons per week.

Develop the four core language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Excursions

One full-day and one half-day excursion per week included in the price, visiting the top New York sights.

A weekly travel card is also included for all students.

Social activities

Two on-campus, sport or local cultural activities per week.

Students also have plenty of free time to explore New York City.

Accommodation

Students stay on the safe, convenient campus of Concordia College, Bronxville, just 30 minutes by train to central Manhattan.

  • On-campus residence halls are very near classrooms and the dining facility.
  • Single, twin and triple rooms are in a traditional US dormitory-style setting with shared bathrooms.
  • Access the student centre and communal lounges to enjoy socializing with other students.
  • Laundry facilities available free of charge.


Meals

  • Meals are provided in the classic dining hall on campus.
  • Breakfast and lunch or dinner is provided every day, with a choice of meals.

Course content

English lessons will explore American culture, specifically the history, politics and social economy of New York and the United States.

English fluency is developed across the four core skills:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Listening
  • Speaking

Classes take place on the college campus in modern classrooms which are all equipped with data projectors.

Activities

Each week there are two local cultural or sport activities on campus.

Our Discover New York program includes a weekly travel card for the train as well as a Metro card for the subway for all students.

There is plenty of free time built into the weekly schedule so students can explore New York City in their own time.
