Our Central London Residential Summer Centre is based at London South Bank University.

Enjoying a superb location right in the heart of the city, it offers modern facilities and single en suite accommodation.

Students are accommodated at David Bomberg House and McLaren House, London South Bank University residences located 5 minutes' walk from the main campus.

  • Single rooms with private bathroom, arranged into flats of 5 – 8 rooms
  • Each flat shares a common room/ kitchen (not to be used for cooking)
  • 1 bed per room

Meal plan

Summer Course: Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided every day.

Lunch and dinner are usually hot; on excursion days students are given a packed lunch. Some dinners will be off-site, depending on the programme.

Discover London: Half-board (breakfast and dinner)

Special dietary requirements

Vegetarian always available. Others available on request.

15 hours of English lessons per week plus full programme of sports, activities and excursions.

15 hours of English lessons plus a weekly excursion and free time to explore the city. Optional organised visits to London sights.

  • Minimum entry level: Beginner

Typical activities


Sports hall available on campus for use once per week and there is an evening activity programme on campus or around London. This is fully-inclusive for Summer Course students, optional for Discover London students who can book onto activities at the centre.

Please note: students aged 16 – 17 will have a set curfew of 22:30 and must sign in and out of centre each day after lessons.


A weekly travel card is included for all students, for use on the London Underground and buses (zones 1 and 2).

Summer Course students have 2 full-day trips per week.

Discover London students have 1 full-day excursion included per week, with the option to buy other trips on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis.
