Founded in 1754 as King’s College by Royal Charter of King George II of England, Columbia is the oldest university in the state of New York and one of the oldest in the US. It is a member of the prestigious Ivy League and its main campus is located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.

Columbia University has three undergraduate schools – Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of General Studies. It also has a number of graduate and professional schools, including the highly ranked Business School, Law School and College of Physicians and Surgeons.
