Homecoming at Oshkosh in 2025

From October 12th to 19th, it was Homecoming Week at UWO!

Homecoming is an American tradition which sees alumni return to their university to inspire current students and celebrate their university together.

This is what Manami, a Japanese student currently studying with us at UWO told us.

"Kings threw a super fun party for us. We did karaoke and sang popular songs from different countries. I don’t usually listen to songs from other places, so it was cool to discover new music and see what’s trending around the world.

One of the highlights was seeing Michael Salim, a former Kings’ student leader, who came back to visit. I hadn’t seen him in such a long time, and it made me feel nostalgic to catch up again.

A few days later, I went to the big Homecoming Dance Party at UWO with my friends. It was my first dance party ever! The event started at 8:00 p.m. and went until 10:00 p.m. The moment I walked in, the energy was amazing—everyone was dancing, jumping, and just having the best time. The music was loud, the lights were colorful, and the atmosphere was so full of excitement.

For me, this whole experience felt so new and refreshing. It’s something I’ll never forget. It’s one of my favorite memories.”
