Celebrating AAPI Heritage in Green Bay

20 Jun, 2025
Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islands Heritage

Last month Kings at Wisconsin-Oshkosh had an incredible time at the AAPI Celebration in Green Bay! The night was full of energy, color, and culture as we celebrated the rich traditions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities — also known as AAPI. This heritage month honors the contributions, histories, and cultures of people from countries across East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Pacific Islands.

One of our favorite moments was seeing San Jang, a GO: Prepared student from South Korea, jump right into the fun. He joined talented dancers to learn the graceful movements of Salavan and Hula — and he crushed it! Watching him connect with the rhythms and stories behind these beautiful dances was special.

From stunning performances and food trucks to interactive cultural exhibits, the whole night was a meaningful celebration of heritage, unity, and joy. Big thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a special event.
