Northumbria University recognises and welcomes applications from students on Kings university degree preparation programmes.
Students are counselled and Offers made based on the formal tariff agreement between Kings and the university.
On successful completion of their studies at Kings, students can progress to Northumbria University to continue their degree studies.
About Northumbria
The biggest university in the northeast of England, Northumbria was named UK University of the Year in The Times Higher Education Awards 2022. Built in 1969 and formerly known as Newcastle Polytechnic, it became Northumbria University in 1992 and today is home to 20 schools and departments. More than £250 million has been spent over the past decade on modernising facilities at Coach Lane, three miles from the City site, which houses the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

- Northumbria achieved a silver rating overall in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The University's Student Outcomes were awarded a gold rating for being "outstanding”, while its Student Experience was judged as "very high quality" attaining a silver award.
- In addition to its campuses in Newcastle, the university has a base in London, near Liverpool Street station, and offers courses in Amsterdam in partnership with the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
- The university’s strength across 35 sports relies on good facilities at both campuses. The £30 million Sport Central development at the City site was refurbished in 2019 and has a pool, sports science laboratories, sports halls and a 3,000-seat arena.
