Loughborough University is located on the edge of the small town of Loughborough in Leicestershire. It has the largest (440-acre) single-site green campus in the UK, and whilst historically has been recognised for its sporting excellence – educating and training a host of world-record breaking athletes – today it is equally as highly regarded for its academic prowess. Loughborough was named as the Times and Sunday Times University of the Year in 2019.
Loughborough University acknowledges the Kings' Advanced Level Foundation as equivalent to A-levels, providing students with an alternative pathway to higher education. Students who meet the specified foundation grades are offered a place at the university, giving them the opportunity to pursue their academic goals and excel in their chosen field.
