The pathway from Kings to Bristol

The Advanced Level Foundation programme will prepare you for a degree at the University of Bristol.

You can choose to enrol at any one of our colleges in Brighton, London, Oxford and Bournemouth.

University of Bristol enrichment programme

In addition to your Kings classes, regardless of the course you choose, you will have a regular programme of interaction and experience with the University. This includes:

  • Academic: Completed 11-12 years of schooling (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Language: Minimum IELTS 5.5 (5.0 in Reading and Writing) or equivalent

Engineering

  • Aerospace & Civil: 77% with additional requirements for Maths and Sciences
  • Mechanical & Electrical: 77% overall with additional requirements for Mathematics and Physics, plus 65% Communication and Study Skills

Humanities & Social Sciences

  • Depending on the degree from 65% up overall plus 65% Communication and Study Skills

Economics, Accounting & Management

  • Economics: 77%, with 75% in Mathematics
  • Accounting: 75% overall, with 75% in Mathematics 
  • Management 75% overall, with 75% in Mathematics

International Business

  • 75% overall plus 65% Communication and Study Skills

Law

  • 77% overall plus 65% Communication and Study Skills
  • Please note that all applicants for Law must take the Law National Admissions Test (LNAT)

Life & Health Sciences

  • 60 - 77% overall with specific subject requirements for specific programmes plus 65% Communication and Study Skills

Maths, Computing & Sciences

  • 70% - 80% overall with 75% in Mathematics plus 65% Communication and Study Skills
