2019: A-level results

Another excellent year of results with our students going to the very best universities!

  • Liu Rongzheng achieved A*A*AAA (Maths, Chinese, Economics, Physics, Further Maths) to gain entry to his first choice: the University of St Andrews, ranked #3, to study Computer Science and Philosophy.
  • Stephen Butterfield achieved A*AA in Maths, Physics and Chemistry respectively and he will be going to the University of Warwick, ranked #10, to read Mechanical Engineering.
  • Olivia Kelly is celebrating entry to her first choice of university, the University of Leeds, ranked #13, to study International Relations.
  • Ho Thien Huong achieved AAA (Art, Economics and Maths) to gain a place in her first choice, Loughborough University, ranked #5, to study Product Design and Technology.
  • Jae Hun Park has also achieved an impressive A*AA in Chemistry, Economics and Maths.

Results across all schools reflect the hard work of both students and staff over the year, with provisional results including

  • 45% of students gaining A*-A grades: a significant jump from the national average of 25%.
  • 71% of students gaining A*-B for Maths and Further Maths;
  • 80% of students gaining A*-B for History; well above the national average of 53.5%
  • 77% of students achieving A*-C for Economics.

2019: Advanced Level Foundation results

Continuing our tradition of excellent Advanced Level Foundation results!

Kings’ students have been celebrating some wonderful Advanced Level Foundation results this year.

  • Half of the offers met are from Russell Group Universities
  • Foundation students met offers for 20 of the top 30 universities.
  • 27% of our students gaining the equivalent to A*A*A*
  • 54% of our students earned results equivalent to AAB.

As the programme is based on the A-level curriculum, it ensures students are fully prepared to for some of the best UK universities including:
