The pathway from Kings to St George's

The Advanced Level Foundation and the Medical Foundation programmes we offer at Kings will prepare you for a degree at St George's University London.

You can choose to enrol at any one of our colleges in Brighton, London, Oxford and Bournemouth.

St George's University London enrichment programme

In addition to your Kings classes, regardless of the course you choose, you will have a regular programme of interaction and experience with the University. This includes:

Lessons

  • Average 21 hours per week, plus homework and private study

Entry requirements

  • Academic: Completed 11-12 years of schooling (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Language: Minimum IELTS 5.5 (5.0 in Reading and Writing) or equivalent

  • 16.5

SGUL Entry requirements

Allied Health Sciences

  • These include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diagnostic Radiotherapy and Radiotherapy & Oncology
  • Academic and English grades might change slightly depending on the specific degree
  • Academic: minimum of 60% overall including at least one Science
  • English: no need for IELTS if our CSS module is passed with overall 70% and at least 70% in writing and 65% in other 3 components
  • Students will need to pass an interview

Life Sciences

  • These include Biomedical Science and Clinical Pharmacology
  • Academic and English grades might change slightly depending on the specific degree
  • Academic: minimum of 60% overall including Biology for Biomedical Science and Biology or Chemistry for Clinical Pharmacology
  • English: no need for IELTS if our CSS module is passed with overall 65% and at least 65% in writing and 60% in other 3 components

Please note the joint offer is available for Kings students applying for Medical Foundation or Advanced Level Foundation and for Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences degrees.

For the MBBS at St.George's, students will need to complete two years of A-levels with us and achieve the following:

  • Academic: A Level AAA (Including Biology & Chemistry)
  • English: IELTS 7.0 overall with 7.0 in Writing and 6.5 in all other components
  • Completion of UCAT and MMI
