On 12 May 2026, students at Kings Brighton had the exciting opportunity to take part in a Clinical Workshop delivered in partnership with St George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine. The event provided students with valuable hands-on experience and insight into the world of medicine and healthcare careers.
The workshop began with a welcome session and introduction to St George’s University, led by Lucy Gromakova. Students then attended a presentation on How to Approach a Patient, delivered by SGU faculty members, giving them an introduction to the communication and professional skills required in clinical practice.
The afternoon continued with interactive clinical sessions focused on blood pressure measurement and ultrasound techniques. Guided by SGU faculty members Lucy Gromakova, Dr Alshaheed Abdelhabeeb, and Dr Ayobosipo Sotunde, students were able to engage directly with practical medical activities and gain a deeper understanding of clinical procedures.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, allowing students to ask questions about studying medicine, medical careers, and university life.

Students responded very positively to the experience. Nishitha, one of the academic students who attended the workshop, described the session as “interesting and interactive” and said that students really enjoyed taking part.
Speaking about the event, Lucy Gromakova from St George’s University said:
“One of the most important parts of today’s workshop is to give students a taste of what it is like to be a medical professional. I think that it has been such a successful session — the students are absolutely phenomenal, and I love how engaged they are. We are really excited to be here today and to continue our partnership with Kings Education!”
The workshop highlights Kings Brighton’s commitment to providing students with enriching academic experiences and opportunities to explore future career pathways through partnerships with leading universities and industry professionals.
