On the 25th of April, Kings Oxford hosted their annual Spring Ball, the grandeur of Oxford Town Hall provided the perfect setting for the event. The historic venue features high ceilings, beautiful staircases, and wooden panelled walls the venue set the tone for an evening of elegance and glamour filled with laughter, music, and dancing.
The event began promptly at 6 PM with a warm welcome and a glass of bubbly for each guest. As the hall filled with students, and staff, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. A beautifully arranged buffet offered a mix of Greek cuisine and a rather novel roast potato bar, where you choose your toppings proved very popular amongst the guests.
Shortly after dinner, the much-anticipated raffle began, offering fun prizes and sparking plenty of friendly competition. Attendees showed up dressed to impress, and the Best Dressed competition gave well-deserved recognition to those who went above and beyond with their choice of outfit.
The school’s band then took the stage, delivering an impressive performance that energised the crowd and set the mood for the night. As the band finished, Simon took over as DJ, and the dance floor quickly filled with students and staff who enjoyed dancing the night away. With around 100 people in attendance, it was a lively atmosphere with a buzz in the air, everyone dressed in their beautiful ball gowns and smart suits. We even had a poker and cards table set up for those who enjoy such hobbies, while a fun photo booth allowed guests to capture memories with props, poses, and plenty of laughter.
The Spring Ball was not just an event—it was a celebration of community, culture, and the joy of coming together. It was also a pleasure to see several of our alumni return, both Academic and English students and welcome them back to Oxford. All in all, it was a night to remember, we hope that everyone that attended had a wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the extensive planning, and helped ensure the event not only went ahead, but was a huge success.
