Last week, our UAL Level 3 and 4 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design students had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in one of the world’s most renowned contemporary art fairs — Frieze London.
Held in the heart of Regent’s Park, Frieze brings together some of the most cutting-edge and influential work by living artists. From immersive installations to thought-provoking mixed media pieces, the fair offered students a unique chance to explore the forefront of global contemporary art.
This visit wasn’t just about observing—it was about engaging. Students encountered a diverse range of artistic practices and perspectives, sparking insightful conversations, fresh ideas, and new creative directions. For many, it was a rare glimpse into the professional art world and an unforgettable reminder of the power of visual expression.
We’re incredibly proud to offer enriching experiences like this as part of our creative curriculum at Kings. Exposure to real-world artistic environments is vital for nurturing innovation, critical thinking, and cultural awareness—skills that are central to any aspiring artist or designer.
