Kings celebrates outstanding student results and university destinations

Kings is delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding student achievement, with students across our A-level, Degree Pathway and UAL Level 3 and 4 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design programmes securing excellent results and progressing to leading universities across the UK.

From ambitious university destinations to exceptional academic outcomes, this year's results reflect the hard work, determination and commitment of our students, alongside the personalised support provided by the Kings community along the way.

Outstanding Degree Pathway results

Our Degree Pathway Programme students have achieved excellent results as they prepare to begin the next stage of their university journeys.

• 100% of students received university offers, with students receiving an average of four or more offers each
• 33% of students achieved a Diploma Distinction, with a final mark of 75% or above
• 58% achieved a Diploma Merit or higher, with a final mark of 60% or above

Designed specifically for international students preparing for university study in the UK, the programme has supported students in achieving strong academic outcomes and securing offers from a wide range of universities including Durham University, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, King’s College London, University of Exeter, University of Bristol, University of Glasgow, University of Bath, University of Leeds, University of Southampton, Cardiff University and University of Sheffield.

Further universities worldwide include the University of British Columbia (Canada), University of Alberta (Canada), University of Auckland (New Zealand), University of Southampton-Malaysia, University College Cork (Ireland), Monash University (Australia), Monash University-Malaysia, St. George’s University - Grenada, De Montfort University-Kazakhstan, The Sino-British College, USST (China), and EU Business School of Geneva (Switzerland).

Chia-yu Yao (Laura) will be taking up a place at her first choice university, Durham University, to study Accounting and Finance.

As the recipient of the Maths & Data Student of the Year award, Laura credits both the course and her teachers for helping her achieve success.

"The course helped me build a solid foundation for university, and the teachers were there to answer every question."

"The teachers gave me a lot of guidance on my Personal Statement and helped me clarify how the UCAS system works, ensuring that everyone could successfully apply to university."

Danylo (Dany) achieved a Diploma Distinction and met five offers, including three from Russell Group universities. He will be taking up a place at King’s College London, to study International Relations.

A-level students secure places at leading UK universities

Our A-level students are also celebrating their results and confirming places at leading UK universities.

This year's cohort will progress to institutions including UCL, the University of Warwick, University of Bristol, University of Exeter, King's College London, Loughborough University, the University of Birmingham, Queen Mary University of London, University of Aberdeen, Cardiff University, University of York and the University of Sussex, with students pursuing a diverse range of degree subjects.

Their future courses reflect the wide range of interests and ambitions within our student community, and include:

Kings' commitment to helping students make strong academic progress is reflected in its ranking among the top 1% of schools in England for value-added performance. This demonstrates the impact that personalised teaching, individual support and a strong learning community can have on student outcomes.

Mohammadmahdi received offers from five excellent universities to study International Relations and will be progressing to his first choice, the University of Warwick.

Kings Brighton’s A2 Business and Economics student of the year, Tue Minh Ho received offers from multiple Russell Group universities in the UK Top 30 to study an Economics and Finance related degree. She has met the requirements to take up a place to study Economics and Data Science at the University of Bristol.

100% pass rate for UAL Foundation Diploma students

There is further cause for celebration among our UAL Level 3 and 4 Foundation Diploma students, who have achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate, with multiple students achieving a Distinction.

University destinations and courses so far include:

• Fashion Contour at UAL
• Interior Design at UAL
• Fine Art at Kingston University
• Fashion Design at the University of Westminster

For 18-year-old Art student Ian Low, the results represented a particularly special achievement. Ian gained a Distinction in his UAL Diploma, describing it as his “dream result”. He will now continue his creative journey by studying Fashion Design at the University of Westminster, turning his passion for art and design into the next exciting stage of his education.

Hsin-ti Chen also achieved a Distinction and will be progressing to UAL to study Fashion Contour.

Looking ahead

From international students preparing for university through the Degree Pathway Programme, to A-level students securing places at leading UK institutions and creative students progressing to specialist degrees, this year's results demonstrate the breadth of opportunities available at Kings.
