At Kings Brighton, learning experiences go beyond the classroom. One of the most exciting opportunities is the Enterprise Challenge, a five-week enrichment course designed to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and inspire the next generation of business leaders.
Delivered by Start Up Street, an external provider specialising in business education, the Enterprise Challenge equips Kings Brighton Business students with the knowledge, skills, and collaborative mindset necessary to develop and pitch successful business ideas.
Over the course of five engaging sessions, students worked in small teams to generate innovative business concepts, refining their ideas before presenting them to a panel of industry professionals at a mystery location in front of a live audience.
Some standout proposals from the challenge included:
- Travel Pal – A smart app that connects independent travellers with like-minded individuals who share similar interests. The app helps users create personalised, tailor-made holiday packages, making solo travel more engaging and connected.
- The Pet Travel Agency – A unique online platform designed to assist travellers who want to bring their pets along on their adventures. This service offers guidance, resources, and personalised travel solutions to make pet-friendly travel easier and stress-free.
By participating in the Enterprise Challenge, students gain practical business experience, improve their teamwork and communication skills, and build confidence in pitching their ideas. More than just a competition, this initiative encourages students to think critically and develop entrepreneurial mindsets that will benefit them in their future careers.
