One-year Foundation pathway
You will follow the specialist Kings Advanced Level Foundation. This is based on A-level and taught by A-level teachers.
You will study Biology or Chemistry, plus a minimum of one further Science (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Physics) along with the compulsory subjects of Data Handling/Statistics and Communication/Study Skills. Any other subject is acceptable as the third option, with the exception of Further Maths.
Two-year A-level pathway
You will study Biology and Chemistry at A-level, as well as either Maths or Physics.
Monash University entry criteria
After successfully completing your course at Kings you will have the opportunity to apply for the Monash University medical course (M6011 Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine).
Academic
- A-levels: ABB
- Foundation: Minimum score of 90% overall (including Chemistry)
English
- Communication and Study Skills: 75% or IELTS overall score 7.0 (no band below 6.5)
ISAT
- You will need to undertake the International Student Admissions Test (ISAT). To be invited for an interview, students will need to meet minimum ISAT requirements.
MMI
- You may be invited to a Multiple Mini Interview – see monash.edu/medicine/som/directentry/important-dates for more information
You will also have the opportunity to apply to the Malaysia campus, with the following requirements:
