Health Sciences and Medicine pathway
Kings is delighted to include in its University of Bristol pathway programme entry to Medicine, as well as Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine. Applications must be made through UCAS, and candidates who are successful at interview will receive a conditional offer for MBChB Medicine.

One-year Foundation pathway
You will follow the specialist Kings Advanced Level Foundation. This is based on A-level and taught by A-level teachers.
You will study Biology or Chemistry, plus a minimum of one further Science (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Physics) along with the compulsory subjects of Data Handling/Statistics and Communication/Study Skills. Any other subject is acceptable as the third option, with the exception of Further Maths.
Two-year A-level pathway
You will study Biology and Chemistry at A-level, as well as either Maths or Physics.
Bristol Medical School entry criteria
You will have the opportunity to apply for the University of Bristol medical course (MBChB) if you satisfy the following conditions in your course at Kings:
Academic
- Foundation: 75% overall, with Chemistry at 75% and one of Biology, Physics or Mathematics at 75%. (These criteria apply for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine)
- A-level: AAA including Chemistry and either Biology, Physics or Mathematics.
- Students must also have the equivalent of GCSE Maths 7 or A, as well as 4 or C in GCSE English.
English
- IELTS: 7.5 (Minimum 7.0 in all categories)
Additional requirements
- UCAT: you will need to register and book to take the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)
UCAS Application
Once you have taken UCAT, you must apply to Bristol through UCAS.
The UCAS deadline for applying to medicine, dentistry and veterinary science courses is 15 October.

Applicants must be available for interview from December to April immediately after submission of their application.
