St.George's University, Grenada recognises and welcomes applications from students on Kings university degree preparation programmes.
Students are counselled and offers made based on the formal tariff agreement between Kings and the University.
On successful completion of their studies at Kings, students can progress to St.George's to continue their degree studies.
Through the partnership with Northumbria University, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, SGU offers the choice of studying in either Grenada or the UK. Two-year clinical placements are available in Grenada, the UK or the USA.

- Degree Pathway Programme: 1 academic year (3 terms)
- A-levels: 2 years (6 terms)
- Around 25 hours per week of taught classroom lessons plus tutorials, university counselling, super-curricular, extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
* Medical Academic Communication (MAC)
Medical Academic Communication (MAC) consists of 1 hour of language/communication support per week. Offered in both Grenada and Northumbria University.
No additional tuition charged.
** English for Medicine Program (EMP)
English for Medicine Program (EMP) adds one additional term to bring the student’s English level up to equivalent of IELTS 7.0 in all bands.
Additional tuition = $3,500 (total).
This Program is currently only offered on the Grenada campus

Entry requirements to St George's University
After successfully completing your course at Kings you will have the opportunity to apply for the St George's University medical course (MBChB).
All students applying for St George's will need to attend an interview.
Academic
- A-level: AAB
- Foundation: Minimum 75% overall with at least 70% in any module
English
- IELTS 7.0 (minimum 7.0 in each category)
- 7.0 overall with no band below 7.0. Direct entry
- 7.0 overall (with deficit of 6.5 in writing only). 5-year MD programme with Medical Academic Communication (MAC) **
- 6.5 or 6.0 (with deficit of 5.5 in 1-2 bands). 5- year MD programme with English for Medicine (EMP) *
