This month, our students had the extraordinary opportunity to visit the New York Botanical Garden for a day filled with exploration, inspiration, and one truly unforgettable night under the stars.
The day began with a self-guided tour of the Botanical Garden’s expansive grounds. From the moment we arrived, students were immersed in a world of natural beauty. They strolled through the vibrant Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, marveling at the exotic plants inside.
Many students expressed how peaceful and refreshing it felt to be surrounded by nature, especially in contrast to the usual hustle and bustle of the city.

As the sun began to set, the excitement built for the evening’s main event: Van Gogh: The Immersive Drone Experience. Hundreds of drones lit up the night sky, painting the air with dynamic recreations of Van Gogh’s most iconic works—including Starry Night, Sunflowers, and The Bedroom. Choreographed to a beautiful musical score, the show left our students in awe.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said one student. “It was like the paintings came to life in the sky.”

Teachers and chaperones were equally impressed. Conversations afterward were filled with insight and excitement. Some students discussed the beauty of Van Gogh’s work while others were fascinated by the logistics of drone programming and how creative technology is shaping the future of entertainment.
This trip was more than just an outing—it was a learning experience that blended science, art, history, and environmental appreciation in one unforgettable day. We’re incredibly proud of how our students engaged with every aspect of the experience, asking questions, sharing observations, and opening their minds to new ideas. All in all it was a fantastic day, enjoyed by all!
