On 4th August 2025, Kings Bournemouth student Rodrigo showed extraordinary courage and presence of mind when he came to the aid of a woman in distress on the street. Acting quickly, Rodrigo called 999 and provided vital assistance that enabled the police to respond promptly. Thanks to his quick thinking, the authorities were able to capture and arrest the perpetrator involved in the incident.
Rodrigo’s act of kindness and bravery did not go unnoticed. His host family, deeply proud of his actions, created and presented him with a special certificate to recognise his selflessness and willingness to help someone in need. The presentation took place at Kings Bournemouth, with Principal Andrew Roper personally awarding the certificate during school.
His classmates and teachers joined in celebrating this achievement, expressing how proud they were of Rodrigo for stepping up in such a critical moment.
Well done, Rodrigo – you have made your Kings Bournemouth family proud!
