The Easter programme at Kings was a resounding success! We had the pleasure of spending two weeks with two very lovely groups of students aged 11-16 years old from various countries.
Feedback from the students was very positive, with many highlighting all the great experiences they had. Students visited iconic locations such as London, the Roman Baths, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Bournemouth Beach, and Go Ape for some tree-top adventures. Activities included presenting projects to classmates, engaging in sports, scavenger hunts, cooking, cinema nights, dining out, and much more.

Our Bath group had the unique opportunity to participate in special sessions with local children, sharing afternoon tea and conversations. Additionally, all students wrote postcards to their friends and family, reflecting on their time in the UK and sharing their favourite moments.

We spoke with Olly, one of our teachers, to get his insights on the programmes in Bath and Bournemouth:
Bath: "The best part was the interaction with local children. I saw two of our students carefully crafting their introductions before putting them into practice. They were nervous and needed each other's support, but the conversation was genuine and natural. It may have been short, but it was as real-world as it gets."
Bournemouth: "As language teachers, we often focus on grammar and vocabulary. But real communication and interaction are key. Seeing the students' eyes light up when I introduced the topic of a man who has spent nearly 30 years walking around the world was magical. When the content is engaging, language skills naturally emerge."

We are excited about next year's Easter programme at Kings and look forward to welcoming students for another fabulous experience. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it a success. We encourage you all to book early for next year's Easter course as places are limited!
