Student Housing at Gilbert
Wherever you come to The Gilbert School from in the world, you can be sure of a warm welcome. The School staff are committed to making you feel like part of the family. The Gilbert School believe that in addition to having an excellent academic record, a comfortable and supportive life outside the classroom is critical to a student’s overall success.
A new male residence hall sits on the School’s 120-acre campus, while female students are housed in beautiful Victorian homes just two blocks from the school. All housing options offer wireless Internet access.
Male dorm: (twin room)
A two-floor residency hall that has 4 sets of residential coordinators for 24-hour guardianship. There are 4 bedrooms in a hall and students share a three-stall bathroom and three shower area per hall.
Female dorm: (twin, triple room)
A Victorian style homes and female students will either share the room with one or two female students. The residential coordinators live and oversee the female students 24 hours a day.
Breakfast and dinner is served in the dining hall, the cost of which is included in the tuition. Student are responsible for their own lunch with typical costs being $5 – 6 per day Monday – Friday. On the weekends, a catering service delivers meals twice a day, late morning and early evening.
The Dean of Student Affairs carefully screens all of the Residential Coordinators for the male residency hall and female dorm home. They are all caring, friendly individuals interested in supporting students in their education and also in sharing their cultural background. They provide a safe and stable environment in which students study, eat, sleep and spend time with traditional American supervisors.
