The Kings Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to rationalise delivery of academic programmes at Kings by consolidating current operations at our Kings London (Beckenham) campus into those of our other colleges at Kings Brighton, Kings Bournemouth and Kings Oxford.
This means that operations at the Kings London (Beckenham) campus will cease on 20 March 2026.
Our overriding priority is to ensure that these difficult but necessary changes cause as little disruption to our students as possible, and that their educational progress remains secure, uninterrupted and fully supported. Detailed plans are in place to ensure smooth educational continuity for every student, and all students will be fully supported during the transition. All academic students at Kings London will move to Kings Brighton at the end of the current term. They will transfer seamlessly together as a cohort, and will follow the same curriculum, exam boards, and university progression plans.
All future academic students will be supported by our team to select an appropriate academic study plan available at our other available colleges.
The decision to cease operations at our Beckenham campus has been taken purely due to external pressures outside of our control. In particular, the introduction of 20% tax on private school fees by the UK Government has caused a significant decline in student enrolments across Kings and the wider sector.
It is of course no reflection of the quality of education, student outcomes and service excellence which have been hallmarks of the Kings London (Beckenham) school since 1966. We remain hugely proud of our Beckenham campus. The school has a long history of academic excellence, care and support which defines the student-centred ethos at Kings.
But while this chapter for Kings is ending, the long-term future for Kings remains bright. Our three other academic colleges continue unaffected, as do our adult Kings English and our Kings Young Learners divisions, as well as our transnational Kings Partner Schools. Equally our Kings Premium Universities US higher education division continues as normal.
We are an independent Sixth Form college in Beckenham.
We are a friendly and empowering community with a highly personalised approach to learning and pastoral development.
We welcome students from both the UK and abroad, giving the school a distinctly international feel and global outlook.
"At Kings London, you will be part of a highly international and aspirational community, one which values intellectual curiosity, high standards and an ethos of mutual support.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to this community."

Exam results"Kings students stand out by virtue of their generally above-average degree results and their willingness and ability to immerse themselves in the life of our student community...I can assuredly put these successes down in large part to the sound preparation for university life that Kings students receive."

"The environment here has been amazing, and the relationships my son has made.
I think Kings has been a great bridge for university because he has come of the school environment into a college and made a great bunch of international friends."
