10 Aug, 2021
Well done Class of 2021!

Despite a very challenging year for all, we are delighted to report that our students have once again achieved excellent results in their A-levels and Foundation programmes.

This year, overall A-level results were as follows:

  • 64% A*-A grades (over 44% above national average)
  • 78% A*-B grades
  • 91% A*-C grades

Advanced Level Foundation results across our four colleges are equally as impressive, with:

  • 30% of students achieving a Distinction, equivalent to 3 A*-A grades at A-Level
  • 67% achieving achieving Merit or Distinction, with grades equivalent to 3 A*-B grades at A-Level
  • 100% pass rate for students completing the course

Our students' outstanding grades will take them on to a wide range of degree courses, at a range of outstanding universities.

In fact, this year our students received offers from 20 of the 24 Russell Group of universities and 24 of the Times and Sunday Times Top 30 universities, including Top 10 Imperial College London (5), Durham University (6), Loughborough University (7), UCL (8), University of Bath (9), University of Warwick (=10) and University of Lancaster (=10).

We are very proud of every Kings student. Here we share just a few of their stories and their fantastic outcomes – brought about both through their hard work and the support offered by Kings.

“The teaching is really interesting at Kings. It’s obviously quite small class sizes so it’s a lot more personal between the students and the teachers — they get to know you a lot better and in more detail."

"The teachers here (at Kings) put more into it — they give everything and they spend time on giving you resources and any help that you need. I’m doing catch-up sessions for my Biology and it’s the extra things that the teachers here put in place for you which is very helpful."

“Personally I think that the teachers here are very supportive. Whenever I had a question, especially when logging into Teams for the first time, Marsona [Kings Academic Administrator] helped me a lot. Whenever I had a question and asked a teacher, they were always willing to help even though it was the end of the lesson. ”

“I love our small multicultural community at Kings. There are students from all around the world who you can become friends with learn loads from. Our teachers are amazing at what they do. They have been supporting my classmates and I from the first day and have made doing A-levels in a second language much easier for us.”

"I’m very satisfied with the support here at Kings. Everyone is very helpful, regarding the courses, but also about your social life and wellbeing. I really enjoy the teaching here and the community is great. I think that if you’re aspiring to be a student here in the UK and you really want to get into the good universities, I’d really advise you to come here to Kings!"

“I have always wanted to know how computers work and how they play significant roles in our society. Bill Gates once said 'The demand for computer scientists is increasing dramatically'. I personally love coding too.

I would recommend Kings to other students. It’s fun and a peaceful place to study and live.”

Madeline

Grades awarded: A
Intended university: Harper Adams University
Degree: Veterinary Nursing

“My experience at Kings has been great, the class sizes are small which means that you get a lot of one-on-one attention with the teachers which has been really helpful for me. Everyone is really friendly, and a lot of support is given to help us with our future plans, for example our uni applications."

Ada

Ada

Grades awarded: A*A*AA
Intended university: UCL
Degree: Chemistry with Maths

“My experience was so good. Studying in a foreign country is hard - with no one you know it is harder, and you are doing tough subjects. The thing is, here I didn’t feel alone.

Everyone is really friendly and the education is really good, instead of memorising we actually try to learn something and it makes it work better.”

Amela

“Kings is a really great school., you are surrounded by really great staff who support you with your future. UK universities are ranked the best universities in the world and they lead to so many opportunities."

Mehmet

"We have a lot of one-on-one time with the teachers because we have small classes and it’s easier to learn that way actually. All of the teachers are really helpful, I’m really grateful for that. Outside of class time they help with assignments and other stuff — university applications and all of that."
