Visiting the home of the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin
'Go Pack Go!' is a phrase you will hear fervently chanted if you ever attend a Green Bay Packers football game. On 20th June, student Kosei from Japan and Kings staff members Kayla and Tirtha tested out this cheer during a trip to Lambeau Field.
Home to the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau is a well-respected landmark for any American football fan and is only a 30-minute drive from Kings at University of Wisconsin—Fox Valley. One of the first teams to join the National Football League, the Green Bay Packers have won more championships than any other team in the league.
The grandeur of Lambeau Field reflects the status the team has achieved and the tour of the stadium did not disappoint! During the tour, we enjoyed the view from the top of the stadium, walked through the tunnel that the Packers use to run out onto the field before every game, saw a super bowl ring, viewed the team's practice field, sat in champion seating, walked onto the field itself and listened to our wonderful guide narrate the Packer's impressive history and loved traditions.
Before the tour, our Kings group also had time to explore the area surrounding the stadium. We went to Bay Beach Amusement Park, tried on cheese hats at the Packer's gift shop, and explored Title Town.
Overall, it was a fun afternoon. You can be sure that during the next Packer game you will hear us cheering 'Go Pack Go!'
