Hi Gabriel, what do you do at Kings?
I am an English teacher here at Kings in Hollywood.
How long have you worked at Kings and what did you do before?
I have worked at Kings for about three months. Before that I was a graduate student, and taught reading and writing at UC Berkeley.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I most enjoy meeting students from around the world, learning about their cultures, and getting to know their personalities.
What do you like most about LA?
I love all the different kinds of food you can eat here in LA, and all of the different neighborhoods
What is your favorite place you've visited?
New York City: So many people, so many stories. It is such a dynamic city.
What is the last book you read?
This Life: Secular Faith and Spiritual Freedom by Martin Haagglund.
What is your favorite film?
Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal because of its amazing cinematography and passionate story of an existential crisis.
What would be your ideal character to play in a film?
A writer-flaneur who walks the streets of NYC.
Which well-known figure would you most like to invite to dinner?
Anthony Bourdain (resurrected) so we can talk about food, politics, and travelling.
What is your favorite quote?
