Spring Student Art Exhibition at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Fox Cities

It is the end of the semester at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Fox Cities. For the art students, this signals the start of the university's Student Art Exhibition. Hosted at Alyward Gallery, students collaborate to exhibit art pieces they have been working on throughout the semester. The gallery, located within the university, is a stunning venue and gives art students the opportunity to experience what it is like to have their work featured in an exhibition.

Alyward Gallery reflects the university's commitment to the arts. According to the university's website, "The gallery is committed to offering visual art exhibits supporting the liberal arts mission of UW-Fox Valley. The activities of the gallery will educate, promote and stimulate an appreciation of the visual arts for the students, faculty, and staff of UWO–Fox Cities". The Student Art Exhibition is just one of the exhibits that reaffirms this commitment.

Two Kings students, Minkyung Kim and Hanzi Bai, had their artwork featured at this semester's exhibition. Both are studying art at UW–Fox Valley and were excited to have their pieces displayed.

This is Hanzi's second semester at UWO-Fox Cities. She had two art pieces from her Intermediate Drawing class displayed at the exhibition. Minkyung is finishing her last term at UWO-Fox Cities and has really enjoyed her art professors and the education she has received. She says, "The professors use various supplies and teach different skills like drawing and painting". So far Minkyung has been accepted to art programs at University of California–Davis, University of California–Santa Cruz, University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, and University of Georgia.

We thank all the students who made this semester's Student Art Exhibition possible and wish Minkyung the best of luck as she progresses in her art education.
