Pumpkin carving at Kings Wisconsin

Pumpkin carving at Kings Wisconsin

The fall semester is not complete without pumpkin carving! This year is the first year that the pumpkin carving event was finally held at the Fox Village student housing after COVID. Kings Wisconsin's Campus Support and Housing Coordinator, Tirtha, tells us about it.

It was nice to be able to get together with Domestic and International students and hold an activity where everyone could work together to create memories. This year the pumpkin carving activity was in collaboration with Kings and Fox Village management, with both parties providing supplies for pumpkin carving.

Pumpkin carving is a fun activity to do with students as not everyone is used to the idea of carving a pumpkin to turn it into a jack-o-lantern. It is fun to watch the reaction of students de-gutting the pumpkin so it is easier for them to carve out the shapes. Some of the students get grossed out, but regardless they all did an excellent job in the end, and it was rewarding to see the final product!
