Linda's Story

Meet Linda from Germany! Linda shares her experience of studying at Kings Boston.

"I am here at Kings Boston for 3 weeks to pass the TOEFL test, which is important for attending university back in Germany.

Every afternoon after my class I meet with the other students, one of them is my roommate Charlotte. We live in the same homestay, which was the best decision I’ve ever made. My host mother provides a welcoming home and her cooking is so good.

As I have only two weekends here in Boston, my roommate and I decided to go to New York for a weekend trip. It was amazing. We walked about 50 kilometres over two days and our feet still hurt but it was the best weekend I’ve ever had! It was impressive to see Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square and Central Park. We thought we saw the whole of Central Park because we walked so much, but when we looked at the map later we realised that we had seen just half. So you see, New York is big!

I also went to a Red Sox game which was an amazing experience. I watched the Boston Marathon, went to Harvard and the MIT, had a picnic at Seaport, watched the sunset at Carson beach, tried the cookies at Levain Bakery and walked through Boston Common and Beacon Hill.

I hope that my scoring on the TOEFL test will be as good as my time here in Boston.

My journey was amazing and I am very grateful for all the experiences I made and for all the people I met."
