Chloe, from Malaysia, took the Advanced Level Foundation at Kings Oxford before beginning a BSc in Economics and Finance at the University of Bristol. Here, she shares her thoughts on university life so far.
Hi Chloe. How is the semester going so far? Are you happy with your choice of university?
I am very happy with my choice of university, and the semester is going well so far. The past few weeks have been busy and it's going to be a challenge throughout the year. However,

Are your classes face-to-face, or online?
There is a mixture of both face-to-face classes and online classes.
How have you found the transition from Kings to university?
To me, the process was smooth and assuring as Kings had prepared me well for my degree with subjects that are relevant to my current course.
How did you decide which university to apply to? What was the process?
At first, a Law degree was always at the back of my mind, therefore I chose my universities based on the quality of the teaching of law in universities. Kings Oxford really helped me, as great suggestions was given to me by the teachers while I was discussing which universities to apply for. However, I changed my mind to study Economics and Finance. The process of transferring from Law to Economics and Finance was not a big problem at all as all my subjects were relevant.
Did your time at Kings Oxford help you to prepare for university?
Yes,

Did you feel supported by the teachers and other staff at Kings Oxford?
Yes, the teachers and staff were extremely friendly and will always be there to lend a hand. Teachers are patient and are always there for the students whenever we needed help.
Overall, how was your experience at Kings Oxford?
"Overall Kings made my college life pleasant, and it is because of Kings Oxford and the great quality of their teaching that I am able to be where I am now, one of the most prestigious universities in the UK."
Do you have any idea yet of what you’d like to do after you graduate from university?
I would like to continue my masters after my degree. After that, I plan to go into the finance sector.
What advice would you give to someone considering the Kings Advanced Level Foundation, and aiming for a top UK university?
Hard work and discipline are the two most important factors when it comes to studying, especially with the Advanced Level Foundation; but don't worry, Kings Oxford will provide quality teaching and assistance to help you reach your goal.
