At Kings Bournemouth school, we believe in making a difference — and this March, our students and staff came together to do that.
Over two inspiring days, Wednesday, 19th March, and Thursday, 20th March, we hosted two fantastic events to raise funds for Theirworld and Comic Relief, ultimately collecting an impressive £925 for charity.
Breaking Records for a Great Cause
The first event on 19th March was nothing short of extraordinary. Nadia, an A-Level Year 2 student, showed incredible dedication and determination by breaking a Guinness World Record! She held a centre-split position for an astonishing four hours, surpassing the previous record and turning her challenge into a powerful fundraising effort.
Through her endurance and commitment, Nadia raised £225 for Theirworld, a charity devoted to ensuring education and opportunities for children across the globe.
Red Nose Day Fun & Fundraising
On 20th March, our school celebrated Red Nose Day in support of Comic Relief, bringing together students and staff for a day full of fun activities aimed at raising money for a great cause. Thanks to everyone's participation, we raised an incredible £700!
To make the day even more special, our students and staff organised a variety of activities, including:
- Face Painting
- Hair Braiding
- Cake Sale
- Raffle Tickets
We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed, whether by participating in activities, making donations, or simply cheering on their peers. Your generosity and enthusiasm have made a real impact!
Let's continue to support great causes together and make a difference in the world.
