From Cal State Fullerton to UMass Lowell: Gregorius’s journey in Business
Kings student at Cal State Fullerton Gregorius shares his experience of studying on the Guaranteed Outcome program in California, and his next steps both for university transfer and beyond.
Hi Gregorius! Which Kings school did you study at what your major?
I am studying at California State University, Fullerton. My current academic program is an undergraduate program, and I am pursuing general studies for now.
What made you pursue a college degree in America?
I was drawn to the diverse educational opportunities and cutting-edge research in America, particularly in the fields of semiconductor engineering and business. I also wanted to challenge myself by studying in a different cultural environment.
What major are you interested in, and why?
I’m fascinated by the intersection of semiconductor engineering and business. I believe understanding both the technical and commercial aspects of this field will open up a wide range of career opportunities in a rapidly evolving industry.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to gain practical experience in the semiconductor industry, potentially through internships or entry-level positions. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to the development of innovative technologies and sustainable business practices.
Why did you choose to study with Kings?
I was attracted to the unique programs and resources offered at the institution. As an example, the career outlook that I found.
Are there any memorable classes, and why did you like them?
A favorite class that I like is the sciences class that I took. I enjoy doing the lab work and I am excited to explore more about the world.
Which schools have you applied to and decided to transfer to? Why did you choose that university?
Yes, my target schools are Arizona State University, UMass (Amherst and Lowell). The Kings staff was instrumental in helping me refine my choices by providing personalized guidance on academic fit, program offerings, and application strategies.
Has there been any difficulties with classes or life in general? What kind of assistance did you get from Kings staff?
Yes, there are some difficulties that I faced at school. Some classes are difficult and I needed to study more to be able to pass. However, Kings recommended me to go to the tutoring center and get some help. I eventually found the help that I needed and was able to pass my classes.
Which student activity did you enjoy the most?
I joined an online club on engineering and I liked it.
What is your favorite part of living in Southern California?
The best thing about living in LA is the nightlife.
Is there anything you wish you would’ve prepared before starting school?
A strong background in Math & Sciences would be beneficial.
