Coming to Kings London thanks to a scholarship from Thailand's Royal Palace
Boonlue Chinnawong, from Thailand, is currently studying English for two months at Kings London. She is the recipient of a scholarship presented by Kings to the Thai Royal Palace last year.
Hi Boonlue. Where are you from?
I am from Bangkok, Thailand. I teach English at a primary school there.
What course are you taking and what are your lessons like?
I'm doing General Intensive and I am enjoying it. The teachers are really good and easy to understand, they speak very clearly.
Why did you decide to take this course? Because I like learning about English, improving my listening, speaking, writing and reading for my job. This course will help me improve myself and help my students more.
What made you choose Kings London?
Thanks to Kings, I got a scholarship from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand to come here.
Where are you staying?
I'm in a homestay, close to school. They are kind, the place is clean and they make me food and I can talk to them every day. They are being so kind to me.
Which activities or excursions have you taken part in?
I have gone to lectures and I have enjoyed them.
Have you made any friends?
Yes! I have four friends in my group, two Brazilians and one Mexican and I will go to London with my friends next week.
What do you think of the school’s location?
Everything is very clean and peaceful!
What do you do at the weekends?
I go to Bromley, the movies, markets, shops.
What would you say to someone from Thailand coming here?
I would advise them that this is a very good place to learn. They are friendly and kind. I'd tell everyone to come here.
