Over 300 books donated to Books2Africa charity

Kings Bournemouth has always been committed to positively impacting their community and beyond. Recently, they had the opportunity to do just that by donating around 300 books to the charity organization "Books2Africa".

The donation was part of the school's ongoing commitment to promote literacy and education in underprivileged communities in Africa. Books2Africa is a UK-based charity that works to provide books and educational resources to students and schools in Africa.

By donating books to this organization, they are helping to make a difference in the lives of children who may not have access to the resources they need to succeed in their studies.

Kings Bournemouth's academic teachers played a crucial role in this donation drive by identifying books that were no longer needed in the school's curriculum but were still in good condition. They also helped to sort and pack the books for shipment to Africa. The teachers were delighted to be part of this initiative, and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to teach our students the importance of giving back to the community.

In particular, none of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts of teacher Sarah Summers. She worked tirelessly to organize the entire donation drive, coordinating with Books2Africa and ensuring the logistics were handled. Her dedication to this cause is an inspiration, and we are grateful for her leadership and commitment to making a difference.

In conclusion, donating 300 books to Books2Africa is a testament to the Kings School in Bournemouth’s commitment to positively impacting the community and beyond. It was an excellent opportunity for teachers and students to work together and give back to those in need. Everyone at the school is looking forward to continuing their support for this worthy cause and making a real difference in the lives of students in Africa.
