Last week, we celebrated International Women’s Day at Kings Bournemouth with a heartwarming event dedicated to recognising and honouring the incredible achievements of women.
A little history behind this day:
International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8th, is a global movement that acknowledges the contributions of women throughout history while raising awareness about gender equality and women’s rights. It’s a day to cherish, empower, and support all women—mothers, daughters, professionals, athletes, and beyond.
To make the day extra special, Alp, our Activities Coordinator, took the initiative to spread joy around the school. He brought flowers and personally handed them out to all the amazing women in our community, asking them to share a supportive message for women everywhere.
Here are some of their inspiring words:
“Stay true to yourself, love yourself.” – Diana, Student Services Manager
“I wish for all women to always feel beautiful and never worry about what others think.” – Wendoly, Accommodation Manager
“Believe in yourself and always do your best.” – Bev, Travel Manager
This event was a truly heartfelt and uplifting experience, bringing us all together in a moment of appreciation and encouragement.
