Maria Marinho
"I gained a BA in Painting from Porto Fine Art University before being awarded a degree in Painting and Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art, UAL.
My 30+ year career in art and design has taken me to many places and situations in Portugal and the UK. I have worked as a fashion designer, a teacher of visual art, drawing and painting, and a professional artist including as an artist in residence.
I have been the Head of Art and Design at Kings since 2018 and teach the UAL Foundation.
My particular specialisms are in fashion design, pattern and garment technology, printmaking, ceramics as well as painting in oil and acrylic.
I have exhibited my work at galleries all over the world including UK, Portugal, USA and Hong Kong. "
Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley
"I am an Artist-in-Residence at Wytham Woods, University of Oxford. At Wytham I run a printmaking studio and work on Oxford University Kilns, an anthropological research project looking at creativity and craft.
I had initial training in performance art and have an MA in archaeological conservation. I have always worked across disciplines and my eclectic range of experiences and knowledge is connected by my long-term research into narrative and the use of stories.
I run a printmaking studio making images and illustrated books, teach Linocut printmaking at the Bodleian Bibliographic Press and have just finished my first novel.
I teach Art and Design on the Foundation and Advanced Foundation courses at Kings School of Art and Design. My teaching specialisms are printing, illustration, animation and film. I also teach Film Studies and Cross-Cultural Communication at St Clare’s, Oxford. "
William Cotterill
"I am a professional artist who has exhibited in London and Oxford. My first solo show was curated by Jenny Blyth, Head Curator of the Saatchi Gallery 1990 - 2002).
"I have over ten years of teaching experience, having lectured at Central Saint Martins, taught art on a private basis, and tutored at Cherwell College and Wheatley Park, where I was also art technician and Artist In Residence.
"I hold a degree in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins, UAL. I also have professional experience in printmaking, digital photography and film editing. I have experience with illustration.
"My specialism is in oil painting and have been a guest lecturer in oil painting techniques at Central Saint Martins and have exhibited my work at there alongside Sir Peter Blake and Sir Quentin Blake. "
Howard Aspden
"I gained a first-class degree in Fine Art from Cumbria College of Art and Design before starting my career as a specialist art teacher.
"I have held various teaching posts including as Head of Art. I have also been a lecturer in Art and Design.
"I have extensive experience of teaching both UK and international students a range of art-related disciplines including design and technology, media, graphic products and photography. "
