A superb fundraising effort from head office staff in the Brighton 10k

On Sunday 17th April, fifteen people from the Central Marketing Unit put their running shoes on to raise money for UWS and complete the Brighton 10k.

It was the perfect day for a road race, with cool temperatures but blue skies and plenty of sunshine. As the warm-up to the Brighton marathon, the 10k runners had plenty of support from friends, family and all the thousands of other spectators who turned out to support the event.

The idea to participate in the race for our charity came from Finance Director at Kings, and keen runner, Claire Dillon. Addressing the many colleagues who took part, she said,

“First of all a huge thank you to everyone who took part. Whether you ran or not, the total we raised is £3,555! I never thought we’d get this far when we started this off so thank you so much for being part of BM 10k Team Kings!

Secondly, I can’t believe the times you all ran. I think everyone must have got a Personal Best. You should be very proud of the training and commitment that went into this.

A further thank you to Anwen for being out early on a Sunday morning taking photos of us, I’m sure you captured many smiles!”

The race route included the vibrant London Road area, where many of the Kings runners were photographed, and where Kings Brighton is located.

Again, a big Congratulations to all of those who took part, and a huge thank you to all those who donated.
