2020: Outstanding A-level results lead to great universities
2020 may be a year like no other but one thing has remained the same. This year, as every year, our students have achieved outstanding grades in their A-levels and are going on to some of the very best universities.
We are proud of every single Kings student. Here we share just a few of their stories and show how their lives have changed – through their hard work and Kings support.

“Teachers here (at Kings) are friendly and helped a lot throughout my A-levels.
"Extra classes of Maths and Physics solved tons of my questions on these subjects and made me fall deeper in love with them….
" Now I have been accepted into Imperial this is a really exciting time for me and my family… thank you!"
A-level grades awarded: A, A, B
Destination university: Reading University (first choice)
Degree: Business and Management (with placement year)
“I chose to resit Economics, complete an Extended Project Qualification and learn Business Studies A-level in one year to tailor my studies towards my chosen university degree of business and management with a placement year.
“I was recommended to do the EPQ by the college as I needed to bolster out my qualifications since I was only sitting two A-levels this year. I feel it’s given me a much better chance at getting into a better university … It has given me that edge that I needed.
“My Kings teachers Ben (Business) Abi (Economics) and Adam (EPQ and general support throughout the year) really created a supportive and interactive environment throughout the year. Abi and Adam especially were always willing to make time when needed giving me the confidence to succeed that I needed.”
Gerin Danny Franklin
A-level grades awarded: A*, A, A
Destination university: Kings College London (first choice)
“The best parts about Kings were the positive attitude of the teachers, right from the time I first visited the school before starting the course. It strengthened my confidence in my ability to attain the grades I was aiming for to pursue medicine: valuable suggestions and advice on several important aspects of school life, from A-level subject options to help with my University applications; really skilled and dedicated teachers who are patient and happy to clarify doubts; small class sizes that help when trying to understand difficult topics.
“The inclusive nature of lessons at Kings has also helped me become more confident and proficient in my communication skills, which not only helped out in my university interviews, but will also come in handy in a medical career.
“I’m so happy (on getting the place at KCL). I just want to thank all my teachers and the whole school”.
