Fast track your business career

The International Business Foundation is a one-year pre-university programme.

This programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for degrees in business, management and related degrees.

And will give you the practical business experience you need to succeed in business on the world stage.

This course is for:

Students who want a recognised, stand-alone business qualification, or to progress to a degree focused on business or management.
Students who have completed 11 – 12 years of high school

Practical, real-life experience

Hands-on experience is fundamental to the course.

You will:

attend a compulsory 6-week workshop (12 hours total) run by Startup Street (startupstreet.co.uk) which takes the students through the stages of starting up their own business. You will present your ideas and business plan to a room of entrepreneurs who provide you with feedback.
Build a portfolio of achievement
Work on a business presentation to students and staff

Input from University business departments

The International Business Foundation is an intensive programme of study, designed specifically to prepare international students for entry to and success at university. The programme takes an applied approach to learning and develops core business knowledge and skill through practical experience, analysis and evaluation. Assessment includes the application of business concepts and strategies through real-life scenarios, case studies, research assignments and presentations.

The syllabus is written in conjunction with business departments at UK universities. This ensures you have the ideal preparation for your business-related degree.
