For all programs, candidates will need the following:

English language level: TOEFL 79, IELTS 6.5, PTE 53 or equivalent

M.S. Food Science & Technology Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. Applicants with an overall grade point average ranging from 2.5 to less than 3.0 may be considered for probationary admission but there is no guarantee of probationary admission. Course Pre-Requisites: Statistics (STAT 320 or equivalent), food science (FN 240 or equivalent), unit operations in food processing (FN 350 or equivalent) food microbiology (FN 402 or equivalent) and food chemistry (FN 425 or equivalent). Applicants who are denied admission due to deficiencies in these prerequisites will be advised that the courses can be taken at UW-Stout as a special non-degree student, but this will not guarantee admission into the graduate program. M.S. Manufacturing Engineering Minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants with undergraduate degrees in fields closely related to engineering and with appropriate engineering experience in manufacturing or with a grade point average below 3.0 may be admitted at the discretion of the program director. M.S. Operations & Supply Management Minimum GPA of 2.75, Applicants who have an overall grade point average below 2.75 may be considered for probationary admission if other requirements are met. Personal Statement

M.S. Risk Control & Safety Management Overall grade point average of at least 3.0. Applicants with an overall grade point average ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 may be considered for probationary admission. Statement of Intent which describes the candidate's academic as well as employment history, professional goals and personal development needs. The applicant must have appropriate academic coursework and/or work experience in the areas of general safety, chemistry and organizational leadership. A deficiency in these foundational requirements does not prevent admission into the program, but would still require completion of additional undergraduate work and/or increase the amount of graduate credit required to earn the degree. Fisher College

For both graduate programs at Fisher College, the MBA and STEM MBA, these are the requirements to apply:

English language level: TOEFL iBT 80 (MyBestTM Scores TOEFL reports are acceptable), IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 115, iTEP 3.9, PTE Academic 56, Cambridge exam 176

GPA: 2.7 Applicants with slightly less than a 2.7 GPA can be considered for admission on an individual basis

Extras:

  • Personal essay or Statement of Purpose addressing the following: in 300-500 words, describe and articulate how obtaining this degree will help further your career, and how your career and experiences to date have prepared you for this degree or career path.
  • Letters of Recommendation which must include two current (not more than 1 year old) letters of recommendation supporting your admission. Letters of recommendations should be from individuals with whom you have worked closely in a professional or academic setting.
  • Resume

The deadlines to apply are:

  • July 15th for the Fall start
  • December 15th for the Spring start
