Role Description

To assist with the overall administration of the IELTS test and contribute to all processes relating to test delivery. To maintain the security of the IELTS test at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take delivery, check and securely store test papers
  • Maintain stock control sheets
  • Liaise with examiners and invigilators by telephone and email to confirm work dates
  • Assist with packing and unpacking test materials
  • Set up registration rooms and IT equipment on test days
  • Organise and purchase refreshments for IELTS staff on test days
  • Attend at least four Saturday tests per year
  • Respond to IELTS enquiries from prospective test takers, supplier schools and colleges via telephone, email and face-to-face
  • Process test takers applications on the Online Registration System (ORS) and take payments of test fees.
  • Maintain security of test papers during test delivery
  • Download speaking tests from the digital recorders to the IELTS computers
  • Enter and confirm scores
  • Generate, sign, stamp and post Test Report Forms (TRFs)
  • Process requests for additional TRFs and Enquiry on Results
  • General office duties (filing, photocopying, shredding) as required

  • Strong IT skills

  • The ability to work meticulously with confidential data and to enjoy the precision and detail involved
  • Excellent organisational skills with particular emphasis on attention to detail
  • Fluent spoken and written English

  • The ability to work calmly under pressure. IELTS test administration is driven by deadlines
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a small team
  • Previous experience of working in an educational setting

Formal qualifications

  • Full training will be provided
