An opportunity has arisen for a proactive finance assistant to support Agent Credit Control for Kings Education. Including preparing and processing agent commissions, agent credit control and other duties as required. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working individual who is proactive, detail oriented and willing to be hands on.

Reporting to the Agent Finance Manager, they will maintain and enhance customer service to all internal departments (Admissions, Sales & Marketing, Finance), and external customers.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Processing commission, bonus and incentive payments
    • Validate commission amount
    • Accurately process commission on Class
    • Setting up payments on bank (where required)
  • Credit control for agent aged debts
    • Run weekly debtors’ reports
    • Email initial payment request
    • Producing statements or receipts
    • Responding to emails
    • Assisting with resolving queries and escalation cases for any late payers
    • Ensure debtors reports are kept up to date with detailed information i.e. debt progress.
  • Assisting with allocation of monies received
  • Support schools credit control with escalation process as required
  • Assist with the refundable deposit process (where required)
    • Reviewing the refundable deposit list for any students that have left or cancelled
    • Ensuring deposit charges are recorded on the account
    • Obtaining bank details and processing or approving refund payments
    • Reconciling refundable deposits

Other duties

  • Investigate and resolve transactions in suspense
  • Reviewing aged student and agent debt on a regular basis
  • Actioning any legacy debit or credits.
  • Supporting projects as required – i.e. Agent bank details upload, Transfermate implementation
  • Support with year 2 progressor invoices (as required)
  • Running invoice batch process on class (outside of regular working hours) – monthly
  • Creating and update process notes
  • Supporting the team with:
    • Anti money laundering
    • Fraud and cyber-crime risks
    • Other regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as required

Skills and professional experience

  • Experience of working in a finance department – minimum 1 year
  • B2C credit control experience – minimum of 1 year
  • Experience of working with international customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Great numeracy skills
  • Intermediate Excel, Outlook, Teams/SharePoint skills
