How it works

  1. Students will receive a joint offer from Kings and Aston University before they leave home.
  2. They can study a one-year Advanced Level Foundation or 2-year A-level programme at Kings Oxford, Kings London, Kings Bournemouth or Kings Brighton.
  3. During their time at Kings, students will benefit from a managed integration programme with Aston University, to include regular visits and meetings with faculty.
  4. Once they have successfully completed their course at Kings, students are guaranteed acceptance by Aston University.

The Programme

Students with a guaranteed offer will complete the Advanced Level Foundation Programme or A-levels at Kings and will also enjoy regular visits to and from Aston University.

1. Advanced Level Foundation / A-levels

You will benefit from small classes in an international environment on your Foundation or A-level course in one of our colleges based in Brighton, London, Oxford or Bournemouth.

2. Specific Aston University enrichment programme

In addition to your Kings classes, you will have a regular programme of interaction and experience with the University.

This includes:

Termly visits to Aston University

  • Meet departmental faculty
  • Attend sample lectures
  • Meet current Aston University students

Regular visits from Aston University staff

  • Meet with University Admissions staff
  • Meet with Aston University teaching faculty

Aston University entry criteria

You are guaranteed entry to Aston University upon completion of the programme to the following standards:

Advanced Level Foundation

  • Biology / Optometry / Pharmacy / Neuroscience: 70%
  • Business / Marketing / Economics / Finance / Computer Science / Chemical Engineering / Maths: 65%
  • Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and Applied Sciences / Psychology: 60%

A-level

  • Minimum grades of ABB

English language

  • IELTS 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each category) for the Business and Health Programmes and 6.0 for Engineering and Social Sciences Programmes.
