The course

This programme offers you the chance to spend an unforgettable summer vacation living and learning in Central London.

Location

You'll be based at the superb central location of London South Bank University with easy access to all the sights and spectacular views of the London Eye and The Shard, Western Europe's tallest building.

What is included in the price

  • 15 hours of English lessons per week
  • Half-board accommodation in single en suite rooms (breakfast and dinner)
  • Travel card for London zones 1 and 2 (access to all main tourist sites)
  • 1 full-day excursion per week
  • Exciting optional activity programme visiting London sights

Optional excursions and social activities

The course allows plenty of free time plus a choice of inclusive excursions. You can join other optional excursions on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis. Examples include:

  • River cruise
  • West End show
  • Iconic attractions: London Eye, Madame Tussauds, St Paul's cathedral
  • Naval London: Maritime Museum
  • Art in London: Tate Modern, National Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, St Martins in the Fields
  • Business in London: Tour of the City and Docklands

In the evenings the new 'Venue bar' at the University is the location for optional evening entertainment, including disco or karaoke.

One full-day excursion per week is included in the price. Typical desinations include:

  • Windsor Castle
  • Hampton Court
  • Brighton and Sealife Centre
  • Canterbury and Cathedral
  • Oxford and walking tour
  • National Maritime Museum
