The Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam is one of the best known and most respected formal qualifications in English. Cambridge English exams are recognised by commercial and academic institutions worldwide.
This course is specifically designed to prepare you thoroughly for the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam. You can follow the course in a Compact version (20 lessons per week) or an Intensive version (28 lessons per week).

About the exam
Cambridge English: First (FCE) exams help students gain entrance to university or college, improve job prospects or measure progress in English.
The Cambridge English: First (FCE) is ideal for students who can:
- understand texts from a wide variety of sources
- use English to make notes while someone is speaking in English
- talk to people about a wide variety of topics
- understand people talking in English on radio or television programmes

Taking the exam
Kings London is a Cambridge English Language Assessment Authorised Centre, so you can study for and take the Cambridge English exams with us.
Course structure and content
If you choose the Compact version of the Cambridge English: First (FCE) course you will study 20 lessons per week (15 hours). This lesson plan is available in all colleges aside from Oxford.
The Intensive version has 28 lessons per week (21 hours). This is available in all locations.
The Cambridge English: First (FCE) course is taught by specialist and experienced teachers. The course syllabus has been specially designed to maximise your exam success and covers all papers of the exam.
You will be given regular homework and will be expected to complete at least five hours of self-study assignments each week.
There are also two sets of mock exams before the exam date.
